New Display at the National Cycle Museum
The Bob Maitland Display
Born in the Birmingham area in 1924 Bob Maitland became a draughtsman and engineer at BSA .
In a career spanning 20 years he was one of Britain’s most successful racing cyclists
He continued to race in the 1980’s and until the end when he collapsed and died at the age of 86 after taking part in the Semaine federal cycling week in France with his many cycling friends.
