New Sinclair Safety Cycle

During the latter half of 2018 we were asked to provide a display of early Safety Cycles at the London launch of the New Safety Cycle .

.This was done to illustrate the development of the safety cycle from its inception to the present day .The " new Safety Cycle " has been designed and developed by Crispin Sinclair - son of Sir Clive Sinclair ., specifically to provide extra protection to the rider if they suffer a collision with a motor vehicle. This is , unfortunately an increasing trend due to the growth in cyclists commuting in the town and cities and the increasing density of traffic .The "new Safety Cycle has been tested in simulated accident situations at the M.I.R.A. test centre and proved that it significantly reduces the chance of serious injury in a collision between a cyclist and a motor vehicle. .For more details Click Here

The   cycle is now on display at the museum
