Memorabelia

The National Cycle Collection has received as donations or loans over the years a huge range of items from the world of cycle racing. These include record books and scrapbooks, medals, cups and trophies, photographs of events and riders and even racing clothing worn in famous events.

There are special displays of loaned items from famous riders such as Barry Hoban, Tom Simpson, Billy Dovey, Reg Harris and Dick Swann also the Britsh cycling team of the 1948 Olympic Games.

This expanding sector of the collection is an important aspect of the history of cycling in Great Britain and these artifacts are available as a history and educational resource.

Memorabelia Photo
